FiFa Rankings 2017 – Slight Movement for Harambee Stars
Kenya Football National Team, Harambee Stars has moved two placed up on the FIFA Rankings released by the World Football Governing Body on Thursday 10 August.
Harambee Stars which was placed 84th on the Rankings released in July has moved to position 82. Neighbours Uganda are set nine places ahead of Kenya, and they remain the best ranked (73) Eastern African Nation.
The third position in Eastern Africa is held by Rwanda while Tanzania and Kenya’s Africa Cup of Nation opponents Ethiopia conclude the top five list.
Egypt, DR Congo, Senegal Tunisia and Cameroon are the top ranked teams in the African continent respectively. Brazil has risen to become the best-ranked team in the world while Germany has dropped to the second spot.
Lionel Messi’s Argentina has retained their third place standing, while Switzerland climbed to fourth and Poland to fifth – their highest ranking ever.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal dropped from fourth place to sixth, while Alexis Sanchez’ Chile stayed at seventh.
